Contemporary Mixed Media Framed Canvas Art from the Film Noir Collection

Made to order in Cape Town · Nationwide delivery

Les Trois Femmes II explores the mystery of a face partly held in shadow. With her eyes lowered and her expression composed, the woman seems absorbed in a thought we cannot quite reach.

A deep sweep of darkness crosses the centre of the portrait, while light reveals the delicate texture of her skin, the curve of her lips and the fine strands of hair beside her face. Freckles and grain give the image a particular tenderness within its bold, graphic composition.

Inspired by artist and founder Romy Maxime’s time studying film, the work draws on the atmosphere of classic cinema and film noir. Light and shadow become part of the portrait’s emotional language, revealing a little and leaving the rest to the imagination.

Rendered in black and warm ivory, the image combines the intimacy of photography with the expressive surface of mixed media. Its glamour carries an inward quality: a woman at ease within her own silence, with no need to explain it.

Part of the Les Trois Femmes Collection, this artwork can be displayed individually or alongside its two companion portraits. Its sculptural shadows and tactile detail make it a striking focal point for a living room, bedroom, dressing room or considered hospitality space.

The artwork is printed on premium canvas and custom framed to order in Cape Town. It is available in a Natural Obeche or Kiaat-Stained Obeche floating frame.
