Welcome to Republic of Venus. By accessing or purchasing from this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our website or placing an order.
1. About Us
Republic of Venus is an independent South African studio creating original artworks, limited editions, sculptures and made-to-order fine art pieces.
Throughout these Terms, "we", "our" and "us" refer to Republic of Venus.
2. Products
We strive to present our artworks, sculptures and products as accurately as possible. Because colours may vary between computer monitors, mobile devices and printers, slight variations in colour may occur.
Dimensions listed on the website are approximate and may vary slightly due to the handmade or production process.
Many of our artworks are produced to order and some products are available only as limited editions.
3. Pricing
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Republic of Venus reserves the right to correct pricing errors at any time.
4. Orders
An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:

payment cannot be verified;

fraudulent activity is suspected;

a pricing or technical error has occurred;

the product is unavailable.
If payment has already been received for a cancelled order, a full refund will be issued.
5. Made-to-Order Products
Many of our products are custom printed or made specifically for each customer.
Production begins shortly after payment has been received.
Because each item is individually produced, orders cannot usually be changed or cancelled once production has commenced.
6. Limited Editions
Certain artworks are offered as limited editions.
Where applicable, edition numbers are recorded by Republic of Venus and certificates of authenticity may accompany eligible artworks.
Once an edition has sold out, no additional prints from that edition will be produced.
7. Intellectual Property
All artwork, photography, designs, graphics, text and content displayed on this website remain the intellectual property of Republic of Venus and/or the artist.
No artwork may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified or used commercially without prior written permission.
Purchasing an artwork does not transfer copyright.
8. Shipping
Shipping times provided are estimates only.
Republic of Venus is not responsible for delays caused by courier companies, customs authorities, weather conditions or events beyond our reasonable control.
Risk passes to the customer upon confirmed delivery.
9. Damaged Deliveries
Please inspect your order upon arrival.
If your artwork arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of both the packaging and the product.
Where appropriate, we will arrange a replacement or another suitable resolution.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Republic of Venus shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or the purchase of our products.
Our total liability shall never exceed the purchase price of the relevant order.
11. Website Availability
We make every effort to ensure that our website operates continuously. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the website without notice.
12. Privacy
Personal information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African data protection legislation.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
