Les Trois Femmes I is a portrait of feminine presence, held in a moment of stillness. Closed eyes, softly parted lips and dark, cropped hair fill the composition, bringing the viewer close while leaving the woman’s thoughts entirely her own.

The collection draws on artist and founder Romy Maxime’s time studying film, and her enduring fascination with the language of black and white: the way a shadow can suggest a story, or a face can hold the emotion of an entire scene.

Here, light traces the eyelids, cheekbones and mouth, while deep black shapes give the portrait its bold, graphic character. Fine grain moves across the warm ivory surface, lending the image the worn, tactile quality of an old cinema print.

There are echoes of classic screen glamour and vintage beauty editorials, reinterpreted through photography and mixed-media composition. The intimacy of the close-up sits alongside something more monumental—a face that feels almost like an icon, yet remains absorbed in a private moment.

Returns and exchanges
